桑列根湖寄宿中学创立于1916年，提供8到12年级课程，是一所男女合校寄宿制的学校。学校着重学生人格与学业的均衡发展，鼓励学生养成独立、自信的学习态度和积极、敢于负责任的生活态度。
目前学校有注册学生440名，其中20%为国际学生，分别来自20多个不同的国家，包括澳大利亚、中国、德国、巴西、墨西哥、新加坡、韩国、日本等， 是个名副其实的国际大家庭。学校为学生提供了一个优秀的教育环境，提供综合性的课程，让不同背景和能力的学生能在一个和谐的环境中共同学习和生活。
